Over the ages the educationall thought has been declaring the teacher, then the book, then the school and now finally the student as the centre of learning.
Back in the age of Greek philophers, the teacher used to be seen as the centre of learning. Learning was thought to be where ever the teacher was. The disciples used to learn bits of wisdom from the sages whenever and where ever it was convenient. Encounters meetings were mostly haphazard and topics for discussion were usually chosen in response to problems or questions at hand.
